The Official Slo-Pitch Organization Provincial Championships First Game Times Full schedule available Wednesday with first game time. Week 3 games will be available by 1:00 PM Monday. Current Weather for the Provincials Miken Super Series #8 The forecast had said rain late in the day but when the games started started we hoped we would get everything completed. But it was not to be. In late afternoon heavy rain washed out the last two rounds on Saturday but with the rain stopping overnight and the Southwest Optimist ground crew out before sunrise preparing the diamonds, the games were able to continue at 8:00 Sunday morning. This was the last Super Series event before the Provincials and with the standings extremely close, the top teams were out fighting for every point. In the B final JA Roofing Blue Jays squeaked a one run, last inning walk off victory over the Seminoles 10-9. In the C Championship Sunoco repeated as wiiners and defeated the X-Men 18-5. Mens B Results 1st - JA Roofing Blue Jays (Ajax) 2nd - Seminoles (St. Catharines) 3rd - Dirty Dozen/Sports 55 (Windsor) Mens C Results 1st - Sunoco (Grand Valley) 2nd - X-Men (Ottawa) 3rd - Mudcats (Hamilton) Next action for the Super Series teams is Week 2 of the Provincials Sept 3-5. Canadian Championships Congratulations to the Ontario teams for their fine showing at the Softball Canada Slo-Pitch Championships. Final results on the Women`s side had Higgins/Proteam Womens Softball (Ont 1) capturing the Silver when they lost in the Championship game 6-5 to the Alberta team. On the Mens side, Ontario #1, Ting`s Moving/HomeRun Sports Orioles, captured the Gold while Ontario #2, Higgins/ProTeam/Combat captured Bronze.
