The Official Slo-Pitch Organization SPO Masters Provincial Dates Finalized The dates for the SPO Masters Provincials will be August 22nd thru 24th, 2008. Slo-Pitch Ontario is still looking for feedback on how we can improve our masters program and we welcome your input. Please feel free to contact us if you have any constructive thoughts or suggestions. Super Series #1 - A Great Start This past weekend 57 teams came into Dorchester and London for our first Super Series of 2008. Saturday proved to be an outstanding day as the weather and the competition was second to none. Sunday started out the same but in the afternoon the weather did not cooperate as it became wet and cold. In Mens A division the W&P Orioles beat the Beachwalk Yardmen in the undefeated game and Higgins/Proteam/Combat defeated the Angels on the losers side. The weather then took over and the remaining games were cancelled. In the Womens division Priceless defeated W&P/Higgins/Proteam in the first game of the finals. Both teams then agreed to split the points and prize money due to the weather conditions. Mens B saw the Mes beat the Twins in a very close final. The Dodgers finished 3rd, with the Express placing 4th. In Mens C the Homerlovers got the best of Lay D Back in the final with 4 What finishing 3rd and Dilligaf 4th. A special thanks to all the teams who supported and made this first tournament the success it was. Lets get out and support the next Super Series in Windsor. Welcome to Paul & Jeremy Forsey - Zone 5 Directors Slo-Pitch Ontario is pleased to announce the addition of two Zone Directors in Zone 5. Paul and Jeremy Forsey have agreed to step up and work with Slo-Pitch Ontario in the Oshawa area. Paul Forsey brings over 30 years of slo-pitch experience to our association and is still involved in the Masters Programs, his knowledge and experience in the Oshawa/Bowmanville area’s will be a tremendous asset to our Association. Jeremy, has been involved in slo-pitch for a number of years and currently participates in the Miken Super Series as well as the Durham Slo-Pitch League.
