General Provisions

Successful nominees for the Hall of Fame will be inducted at the Annual General Meeting of Slo-Pitch Ontario Association.

All Applications approved by the Selection Committee shall be forwarded to the Board of Directors of Slo-Pitch Ontario with a recommendation for induction in the Hall of Fame, for final approval.

Nominations may originate with a club, an association or individual. No more than two (2) nominations may be presented from any Zone in any year.

No more than five (5) candidates, and no more than three (3) in one Category, shall be selected in any year.

A SPO Hall of Fame Application must be completed in full and outline, with as much detail as possible, the athletic accomplishments or service record (or both) of the person(s) being nominated. Supporting documentation, and one or more photographs of the nominee(s), must accompany the Application when submitted for consideration.

A candidate must be a Member in good standing of Slo-Pitch Ontario.

Any candidate not accepted or approved may be re-submitted the following year. A candidate may be nominated a maximum of three (3) times. After the third nomination, his/her name is removed from further Hall of Fame consideration.

The Hall of Fame Selection Committee may, by a majority vote, with just cause, recommend the removal of an individual from the Hall of Fame. A two-thirds majority vote by the Board of Directors approving such recommendation shall remove said individual from the Hall of Fame.

Nominations must be received by the Selection Committee by October 1st for consideration that year.
